When I began my adventure with Fitness . I was extremely over weight, felt awful. I ate fast food, drank pop, and smoked cigarettes on a regular basis. I decided to do something about my health. I immersed myself in a new lifestyle & have never regretted it. I take pride & am very passionate about helping others target their objective. I make it a goal to help people live a lifestyle that will minimize the risk of future health related issues, to maintain their purpose & accomplish goals. Yes, it takes motivation determination and consistency to succeed. I have been in the Fitness and Wellness industry since 1991 graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor’s of Physical Education (now known as Kinesiology). I have worked in a variety of job settings including Occupational testing for the police, employee fitness Centers, in hospitals and schools as a Therapy assistant and teaching a multitude of fitness classes all throughout.
I have been leading classes here in Strathmore for the last 20 years and look forward to 20 more

I have immersed myself in the various fitness trends over the years and this rewarding experience has made me aware that it is the teacher and trainer’s responsibility to create an atmosphere that is safe, motivating, and fun to keep the participants coming back.
My passion for fitness has led me to studios and fitness facilities in many cities where I have had the opportunity to continue to discover new equipment and methods, to improve my teaching and personal training. These methods have taught me to provide modifications necessary for success which creates mental and physical confidence.
My formal education is a degree in Physical Education from McMaster University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto. I am certified as a trainer for new fitness instructors with Fitness Alberta, a certified personal trainer with Can Fit Pro, and a certified e200 hr yoga instructor with Yoga Alliance.
