Rejuvenation (Yin Yang) Yoga

All my life I have had extreme anxiety, my mom would have me join her while she followed yoga recordings on
video cassettes. It wasn’t until I moved to Calgary in 2000 that I attended my first formal yoga class. I remember
leaving class like I was walking 2 feet off the ground. I was hooked! Yoga, meditation and Reiki continues to help
me cope with high anxiety.
In my 13 years of experience I have training in Raja and Hatha yoga traditions, teaching children, meditation and
Reiki. My focus in class is to create a safe atmosphere where the student can slow down, connect movement with
breath, listen to the subtle information that comes from the internal world, quiet the mind and notice the flow of
change. It is in this space that we heal.

FeelGood Soulful Zen & Flow Yoga

My name is Stacey Schuett and I've been local to Strathmore for 19 years. I have been practicing yoga for 20 years, and teaching since 2017 on and off, along with raising my now grown daughters.
I've led both group classes, and individual one on one sessions from my space in my home, along with seven soul filling years at a Domestic Violence organization, which will forever remain close to my heart.
I lead each session from a trauma informed lens.
My teaching style leans towards a gentle flow and stretch, incorporating Yin /Yang and Restorative.
I believe more than ever we are in need of stillness, softness, and slowing down in today's society, while also finding challenge and strength within.

Restoration (Back, Hips & Shoulders) Yoga

I had done yoga off and on for a number of years but in 2012 I stepped onto the mat and realized this is what I had been looking for. I dedicated myself to my practice and in 2015 I took my first teacher training with Erin Evans. My practice helped me in so many ways! It created strength and flexibility in both my mind and my body. It has taught me to live in the moment and to enjoy life. My goal is to share this great practice we call “yoga”.

Strong Strides

Strong Strides is a 60-minute strength and mobility class for runners and non-runners alike. With no cardio involved, this session focuses on building strength—especially in the legs—through key exercises that stay consistent to track progress, plus a few new movements each class for variety. The second half of the class targets hip and leg mobility with stretching and foam rolling to improve flexibility and recovery. Whether you run or just want to move and feel better, Strong Strides will help you build a solid foundation!

FUNctional FITness, Spin & Core, Spin & Strength

I am a life-long athlete who has been able to turn my passion for sport/athletics, training & conditioning and foundational movement (in general!), into my life’s work. I knew from an early age that I would pursue a career in fitness/health & wellness. Early in my career, I worked in Population and Public Health as the Provincial Coordinator of Mental Health Promotion for Alberta Health Services. That 6-years of my career was spent creating public health resources and rolling out provincial MHP initiatives centred on how to build and foster resilience throughout the lifespan - from infants to seniors! From schools to workplaces! Mental Health Promotion and fostering resiliency skills was (and still is!) my ‘jam’! It was a great job! It taught me so much that I use every day in my life, and I apply much of that work in my coaching practice too.
In 2013, I got married and left AHS to become a stay-at-home parent for a few years. That was ALSO a great ‘job’! In 2018 I decided to get back to work and saw my journey come full circle when I became a CanFitPro certified Personal Training Specialist.
I love working 1-1, with couples (friends and/or spouses!) and small groups as well. A
I can’t wait to see you all around the gym..! 🤞👊💪

Introduction to Belly Dance

Hello everyone! I have been a practicing Martial artist since 2015 where my Journey began with Taekwondo. Beginning in 2022 I became an operating instructor for All Canadian Karate Union. I currently hold my first degree black belt in Shotokan Karate (Shodan). I love getting my body moving and challenging my brain to remember patterns of movement. I have worked as a Licensed Practical nurse since 2011 with the last 10 years being focused in Dementia care. I have a strong belief that working the body and the brain in tandem can go a long way to keeping healthy for the long run. I have a passion for movement whether that be the heavy strong movement of martial arts or the gentle yet exhilarating movement of Bellydance. I look forward to bringing a variety of programs to our community that will help us all stay active and have fun!
